23 inch summer tyres – New
New 23 inch summer tyres are designed for large SUVs, sporty premium vehicles, powerful crossovers and modern electric and hybrid models. Their large rim diameter and generally wide, low-profile construction provide direct steering response, high cornering stability and precise power transmission on dry and wet roads.
However, rim diameter alone is not enough when choosing 23 inch summer tyres. The full tyre size, required load index, speed rating, vehicle axle loads and any XL, run-flat or EV requirements are crucial. Reifenshop Landshut offers new 23 inch summer tyres matched to the technical requirements of modern premium and performance vehicles.
✔ Suitable for numerous vehicle categories:
- large SUVs and premium SUVs
- powerful crossovers
- sports and performance vehicles
- electric and hybrid vehicles
- all-wheel-drive models with AWD, xDrive, Quattro or 4MATIC
- vehicles with high axle loads and large brakes
Actual approval always depends on the full tyre size and the technical specifications of the particular vehicle.
🔧 What matters when choosing new 23 inch summer tyres?
1. Full tyre size
In addition to the 23 inch rim diameter, tyre width and aspect ratio must match the wheel and vehicle precisely. Even small differences can affect rolling circumference, speedometer readings and the operation of ABS, ESP and all-wheel-drive systems.
2. Load index
Large SUVs, electric vehicles and premium cars often have high axle loads. Their 23 inch summer tyres must therefore have a suitable load index. Reinforced XL or Extra Load versions are often required for heavy vehicles.
3. Speed rating
The speed rating must at least meet the vehicle’s prescribed rating. A sufficiently high speed rating is essential, particularly for powerful models.
4. Grip on dry and wet roads
High-quality 23 inch summer tyres offer:
- short braking distances
- stable lateral grip
- precise steering response
- controlled water drainage
- reliable grip at high temperatures
A modern tread pattern reduces the risk of aquaplaning and supports safe handling during heavy summer rain.
5. Rolling circumference and all-wheel-drive compatibility
On AWD, xDrive, Quattro and 4MATIC vehicles, the front and rear tyres must have a technically permitted rolling circumference that is as consistent as possible. The correct combination across both axles is particularly important with staggered tyre sizes.
6. Suitability for electric vehicles
The high weight and instantly available torque of electric vehicles place special demands on summer tyres. Suitable 23 inch tyres require:
- ample load capacity reserves
- stable sidewalls
- wear-resistant compounds
- controlled rolling resistance
- reliable power transmission
7. Rim protection and sidewall stability
Many 23 inch summer tyres have a rim protector that can give the rim edge additional protection against light contact. The low sidewall also supports precise handling, but requires a tyre size that is an exact technical match.
🛠 Quality features of new 23 inch summer tyres
The following criteria are particularly relevant when choosing new summer tyres:
- current, traceable DOT information
- undamaged tread and sidewalls
- correct load index and speed rating
- appropriate XL, run-flat or EV markings
- vehicle-compliant rolling circumference
- suitability for the intended rim width
- manufacturer- and model-specific tyre approvals
New tyres have their full original tread depth, providing maximum reserves in wet conditions, at high temperatures and on longer summer journeys.
